The Sony Tablet S will now stream movies and TV shows from Sony’s “Video Unlimited” library, according to a press release today. The video service provides over 40,000 titles for rent or purchase. Rental prices from Sony Network Entertainment start at $2.99 for SD, while purchase prices start at $9.99.
Sony’s “Video Unlimited” service is also available on 2010 and 2011 models of the following network-enabled devices:
- BRAVIA HDTVs
- Blu-ray Disc players
- Blu-ray Disc Home Theater systems
- PlayStation3 systems
- PSP (PlayStation®Portable)
- PCS including VAIO models
- Sony Ericsson Android-based mobile phones
- other third-party devices
