What are the best selling Blu-ray Discs right now? Looking at the top 10 ending the week of Oct. 2, 2011 the Transformers franchise alone owns three positions (according to Nielsen VideoScan). Not bad for a bunch of machines, right? Universal’s Bridesmaids owns the second spot and Paramount’s Thor comes in third in Blu-ray Discs sold. The 9-disc set Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Fox) comes in fourth place in sales. Interestingly enough, Star Wars: The Original Trilogy currently holds the fourteenth spot in sales but Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy doesn’t make it in the top 20 this time. Total Blu-ray Disc sales revenue ending Sept. 24, 2011 was $44.91 million, up 103.6% from the same period last year, according to Home Media Research.
