This week at E3 Microsoft revealed a "Gears of War 3" Limited Edition Xbox 360 Console. The bundle comes with two matching custom 360 wireless controllers, a wired headset, a 320GB hard drive, built-in Wi-Fi and, of course, a copy of "Gears of War 3" (standard edition).
Suddenlink, the seventh largest cable television service provider in the U.S., is going mobile with Suddenlink2GO online. The service allows internet viewing of content (similar to HBO Go and MAX Go) at no extra charge (although some content has a 24hr window after the premiere). The online service features content from HBO, Hulu, and Turner Broadcasting.
Folks at E3 in Los Angeles are getting a sneak preview of the fifth title in the Hitman series from Danish developer IO Interactive. The assassin Agent 47 finds himself in a world of betrayal in the highly stylized 'Hitman: Absolution.' IO Interactive worked extra hard on this one, building the title from the ground up and incorporating their proprietary Glacier 2 technology. The single-player game is set to release in 2012 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms sometime in 2012.
NBC Universal has announced a release date for Peter Jackson's "The Frighteners" on Blu-ray Disc. The 1996 film stars Michael J. Fox as architect Frank Bannister who turns into a "ghostbuster" after meeting ghosts in his unfinished house. Jackson produced, directed, and co-wrote the horror/comedy film that just about broke even at the box office.
