If you're a Blockbuster customer you may have received a postcard offering "Unlimited Free Rentals" though July 4th. Well, here's the catch. You get a free 1-day rental whenever you rent a new release for $2.99. The free movie must be a $1.99 rental or less, and you can only have one out at a time. The promotion doesn't include games (or, oddly enough defensive driving courses). New movies include such titles as Black Swan, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part. 1, and Kung Fu Panda.

Apple has started selling unlocked iPhone 4 models on their website, but the flexibility and freedom of having an unlocked phone comes at a price. The 16GB iPhone 4 is selling for $649 while the 32GB is selling for $749 -- prices two to three times more than the price of locked phones with multiyear contracts.

Looking a lot like the Flip Mino series of handycams and priced equally as low, Toshiba's CAMILEO B10 records at 1920x1080p and takes up to 16 megapixel photos (interpolated, of course) using a 5 megapixel CMOS chip.

Comcast and Skype announced a partnership to bring HD video chat through your television. If all goes according to plan, you'll be able to make video and audio calls, send text messages, and talk while watching TV shows.

Sony will start shipping a new 3D projector for home use next month which produces images almost three times as bright as their current 3D projector. The projector boasts strong 1,300 lumens output with a dynamic contrast range of 70,000:1.

Walmart has started selling digital movie cards for its VUDU movie service. The first title available in the format is Battle: Los Angeles, which also hits stores today on Blu-ray and DVD. How do they work? The movie cards simply provide a code to stream movies via a VUDU box or app on a supporting device (which Walmart says now exceed 300).

Red Riding Hood on Blu-ray Disc and DVD is now available to purchase online and in stores. The 2011 title from Warner Bros. Pictures stars Amanda Seyfried, Lukas Haas and Gary Oldman in a fantasy/horror/mystery film based on the fairy tale of the same name, except done PG-13 style.
