New Toshiba HD handycams hit stores

Toshiba -CAMILEO-B10-camcorder-frontLooking a lot like the Flip Mino series of handycams and priced equally as low, Toshiba’s CAMILEO B10 records at 1920x1080p and takes up to 16 megapixel photos (interpolated, of course) using a 5 megapixel CMOS chip. The B10 was dropped off at Amazon yesterday and priced at $99 bucks ($119 MSRP).

Toshiba also starting shipping the ultra-light CAMILEO P100 that features a 5x optical zoom with image stabilization and up to 1920x1080p resolution. The camera also takes still images interpolated up 16 megapixels and comes with a swiveling 3″ touchscreen display making it easier (much easier than the B10) to record your subject. We couldn’t find the P100 on Amazon yet but ToshibaDirect has got it for $159 (MSRP $179).

Don’t expect anything close to 3CCD HD camcorder quality with these cams (as you wouldn’t with any cameras priced this low) but for convenience, portability, and price the new Toshiba models are handy to have around.
