DirecTV Yankees/YES deal gets extension

It would have been a nightmare for New York Yankees fans who were looking for games this weekend on YES, as the network’s agreement with DirecTV expired at midnight last Friday. But YES extended the deadline until this coming Thursday, giving DirecTV subscribers several more days of uninterrupted Yankees action.

Although today’s Yankee’s game vs. the Detroit Tigers was on FOX Network, DirecTV subscribers would have missed YES-scheduled games for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

The Yankees pulled out another victory against the Tigers today, winning 10 to 6. The two teams will square off again tomorrow, April 3rd at 1:05 Eastern Time on YES Network.
