AT&T U-verse subscribers in Connecticut can now get MSG HD and MSG+ HD. That means access to New York Knicks, Rangers, Red Bulls, Liberty, Buffalo Sabres, and New Jersey Devils games in HD. MSG HD can be found on channel 1708, and MSG+ HD 1706 (in select Conn. markets).

Paramount has announced a bulkier release of the film to hit shelves on Jan. 31, 2012. Transformers: Dark of the Moon 4-disc Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD combo pack will contain almost four hours of bonus features plus an UltraViolet copy of the film.
Hell on Wheels has picked up a second season on AMC Networks. The TV drama about an encampment during the construction of the first transcontinental railroad in 1865 first premiered on November 6, 2011 with about 4.4 million viewers.

Warner Bros Pictures has released the announcement trailer for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey." The film stars Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen and Richard Armitage and is based on the novel by J.R.R. Tolkien. The first in a two-part saga, 'An Unexpected Journey' is scheduled to release on Dec. 14, 2012. Director Peter Jackson decided to film the movie in 3D, using RED EPIC cameras (see a video diary here).
Discovery Channel's "Whale Wars" will go another season on the Animal Planet network, giving Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherd additional fuel to chase down Japanese whaling ships. Discovery first premiered "Whale Wars" in November, 2008 and has since aired 31 episodes. Season Five will begin in June, 2012.
