AT&T Connecticut subscribers get MSG HD and MSG+ HD

More great news for New York area sports fans. AT&T U-verse subscribers in Connecticut can now get MSG HD and MSG+ HD. That means access to New York Knicks, Rangers, Red Bulls, Liberty, Buffalo Sabres, and New Jersey Devils games in HD. MSG HD can be found on channel 1708, and MSG+ HD on channel 1706 (in select Conn. markets). Customers need to be subscribed to the AT&T U-verse U100 package or higher tier service to get the HD channels.

The high-definition versions of the channels had been previously blocked by Cablevision who owned the networks. Recently, a court order forced MSG Network to provide the HD feeds to Cablevision competitors, namely, Verizon and AT&T.

“We’re delighted that our U-verse TV customers now have access to these important HD sports channels on reasonable terms,” said Dan York, president of content, AT&T.
