Ovation has acquired about 3 million new subscribers though Time Warner Cable markets in New York and New Jersey, Comcast market areas in Boston, Philadelphia and central Pennsylvania, as well as Bright House and Service Electric networks. This news comes via Multichannel News, who reports the channel’s distribution is now up to approximately 43 million homes.
Ovation Networks was founded in April 1996 and runs programming related to arts and contemporary society. The channel launched in high-definition (HD) in September, 2010.
Bright House serves customers in Central Florida (Tampa and Orlando/Daytona Beach areas), as well as the cities of Indianapolis, Lakeland, Birmingham-Hoover area, west suburban Detroit, and Bakersfield.
Service Electric provides television service in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey.
