This week’s E3 convention brought a slew of gaming announcments, one being an upcoming exclusive Limited Edition of Dead Space 2 which includes Dead Space Extraction in HD with support for PlayStation Move. The prequel to the Dead Space saga, ‘Extraction,’ will be sold as part of Dead Space 2 or as a standalone edition for PS3.
This is the first time Deep Space Extraction will be offered in high-def. The PS3 game will feature all new trophy support, co-op gameplay, and controls using the new PlayStation Move device.
“We’re thrilled to couple two terrifying experiences in one box. With the Limited Edition, PlayStation 3 fans will receive real insight into the cause of the necromorph infestation and the destruction that followed,” said Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer on Dead Space 2.
Dead Space 2 will launch on January 25, 2011. The game is being developed for PS3, Xbox 360 and PCs. Developer Electronic Arts calls the game an “experience that will bring the psychological thrills of deep space to a terrifying new level.”
