Comcast customers in the North, West and Northwest Philadelphia areas now have an additional 50 HD channels to select from. New high-definition channels in the lineup include MSNBC HD, BET HD, Comedy Central HD, Cartoon HD, and Lifetime HD.
The areas that received the XFINITY TV high-def expansion are part of Comcast’s “World of More” digital upgrade (also code named Project Cavalry) which includes more dedicated HD channels, more HD titles On Demand and faster internet service.
“The addition of new HD channels has played a major role in improving the Comcast experience for our customers and we intend to continue expanding their level of choice and value,” said Amy Smith, senior vice president, Comcast Freedom Region.
Comcast says they have launched up to 59 new HD channels in all areas of greater Philadelphia including the City and Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.
