Comcast has added 36 HD channels for customers in Pittsburgh, PA, according to TVPredictions.com. The new high-definition channels include Travel Channel HD, Comedy Central HD, Nickelodeon HD and Weather Channel HD.
Comcast also recently added 40 new HD channels in the Pottstown, PA market, as part of its “World of More” digital upgrade. Those channels include AMC HD, AMC HD, Discovery HD, History Channel HD and Syfy HD.
In related news, Comcast says they plan to have more 3D content than anyone else as it becomes available, citing their early 3D content testing of Hannah Montana: The Movie back in 2008, and other films such as My Bloody Valentine and Coraline. The company is currently offering anaglyph versions of The Final Destination in both standard and high-definition 3D.
