Time Warner Cable added 17 more high-definition channels to its lineup in Dallas last weekend. In addition, the HD upgrade allows customers to order pay-per-view events in high-definition, a service that gave Time Warner a disadvantage against competing satellite television providers who offer more HD choices.
The additions bring Time Warner’s HD channels to 50 the Northern Texas markets, which, according to The Dallas Morning News cost Time Warner over $100 million over two years.
The new HD channels added to the N. Texas area include:
