FiOS hits more Western New York markets

Verizon FiOS has moved into more areas in Western New York, including Blasdell, Kenmore and Lackawanna. The company is also increasing availability in areas already serviced including Amherst, Hamburg, Orchard Park, Tonawanda and West Seneca.

Verizon’s FiOS TV service provides more than 500 all-digital channels which includes 103 HD (High Definition) channels in the Western New York market. The company’s VOD titles total 14,000 with 1,200 of them offered in HD.

Chris Creager, Verizon’s president for the Northeast region said,  “When consumers have an opportunity to choose, it’s clear they are choosing Verizon’s 100 percent fiber-optic technology over old-fashioned cable to bring them better TV, more high-definition channels, cable-busting Internet speeds and rock-solid voice services.”
