In the Western New York area, Time Warner Cable has split the high-definition Golf and Versus HD channels to create two separate channels. The Golf Channel HD will now be found on channel 772, and Versus HD will stay on channel 771. These channels come at no extra charge for customers with the HD package.
“Time Warner Cable knows our customers value high-definition programming, and this split of Versus and Golf will provide two new options for sports fans. The number of top tier channels available in HD has more than doubled this year…” said Terence Rafferty, WNY Division President, Time Warner Cable.
The Golf Channel HD features the PGA Tour, European Tour, LPGA Tour, Champions Tour, Nationwide Tour, Canadian Tour, and PGA Tour of Australasia events. The channel also covers USGA and PGA of America tournaments.
Versus HD features live events including college football, NHL, IndyCar, cycling, cagefighting, bull riding and outdoor sports.
