Batman: Arkham Asylum coming to PS3, Xbox 360

batman arkham asylumBatman: Arkham Asylum, what is described as a “haunting, action detective game,” is coming to Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Windows in 2009. Batman: Arkham Asylum puts you in the role of Batman as he battles the Joker and other Gotham villains. I’m looking forward to this release, as the original script for the game was written by Batman writer Paul Dini.

The game comes from Eidos Interactive, Warner Bros., and of course DC Comics, who is a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. The game was developed by Rocksteady Studios. “Batman: Arkham Asylum offers players the chance to battle Gotham’s worst villains with Batman’s physical and psychological strength in a graphically distinct and story-driven game,” said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

No actual release date has been given for Arkham Asylum, but a countdown on Rock Steady’s website seems to indicate there will be more info to come. As of this article, there appears to be about 24 hours left before we find out more. (see photo)
