Mitsubishi will provide the New York Yankees with a new high definition scoreboard display for the new Yankee Stadium. The Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision display has 8,601,600 LED lamps, extends 101 feet wide, and can split into four high definition 1080p images.
The entire scoreboard display will encompass almost 6000 square-feet of image. A Mitsu DSC2 Digital Display Controller will enable picture-in-picture, scoring, messaging, and of course one complete 1080p image.
The new Yankee Stadium is scheduled to be open for the 2009 baseball season, replacing the current stadium which has served the Yankee’s since 1923.
