Microsoft has filed a patent that should have Xbox users more than a little worried. Microsoft will allow the Kinect motion sensing device for Xbox 360 to potentially spy on users as they engage the device or use their Xbox when watching movies or even playing games.

Gameplay involves the Kinect motion sensor, letting players take control of the spacecraft during the so-called "seven minutes of terror" as it enters the red planet's atmosphere. "Families can get a taste of the daring that's involved in this, just landing this mission on the surface," says Doug McCuistion, director of NASA's Mars Exploration Program. "It's going to be very similar to the way the team actually is going to do that."
