‘Avatar’ 3D finally available to the masses October 16

Hey, remember Avatar? That little film from James Cameron that came out in 2009 promising the best use of 3D ever? Well in two months, it'll finally be available to non-new Panasonic TV owners. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment today announced that the 3D version will be available globally starting October 15, with a U.S. launch on October 16.

Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Lightstorm Entertainment and James Cameron will release "Titanic" in 3D worldwide on April 6, 2010. The theatrical release will mark the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's maiden voyage on April 10, 1912.
