New on Blu-ray: The Meg, Star Trek: Discovery S1, The Crown S2 & more

new-blu-ray-nov-13-2018-960x600Here are the Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray releases for Nov. 13, 2018.

On disc for the first time is The Meg starring Jason Statham, with 4 available formats including Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray and DVD. The Blu-rays feature Dolby Atmos / TrueHD audio backed by a DTS-HD Master track, and each BD combo edition packs one extra disc and digital copy along with the master format.

Other new movie releases include the adventure/drama Alpha printed in both theatrical and director’s cut editions, Mile 22 starring Mark Wahlberg from Lone Survivor producer Peter Berg, and the comedy/drama Juliet, Naked with Rose Byrne and Ethan Hawke.

Star Trek: Discovery Season One is the first disc release of the flagship series on CBS All Access, and the 4-disc Blu-ray set from Paramount includes all 15 episodes, over 2 hours of exclusive special features such as never-before-seen cast and crew interviews, production featurettes, and deleted scenes.

Also from television The Crown Season 2 has arrived on Blu-ray Disc in a 4-disc set from Sony Pictures, and Preacher Season Three is now available on Blu-ray.
