Steven Spielberg’s VR adventure Ready Player One is now available on Blu-ray Disc in standard, 4k and 3D combos. Each 2-disc edition offers a bunch of extras totaling over 90 minutes loaded with Easter eggs and 80’s nostaglia, as well as a digital copy redeemable via Movies Anywhere. If we can give you any advice, pick up the 3D Blu-ray edition from Best Buy where it’s priced $18 less (yeah less) than Amazon.
Also new on Blu-ray is the complete series of Disney’s Gravity Falls in a 7-disc Collector’s Edition from Shout! Factory. The set includes all 40 episodes of the animated show created by Alex Hirsch, along with new bonus “One Crazy Summer” – A Look Back at Gravity Falls With The Cast & Crew with a total run-time of 1 hour 45 minutes.
From the archives you might want to check out H. P. Lovecraft’s Dagon (2001) in a Collector’s Series from Vestron Video, Beyond Re-animator (2003) also from Vestron, and John Carpenter’s In the Mouth of Madness (1994) in a new Collector’s Edition.
Finally, for DC fans Warner Archives has released Supergirl (1984) in a 2-disc edition with the theatrical cut remastered to Blu-ray and the rare Director’s Cut on an extra DVD.
