Black Panther has been released to digital formats one week ahead of Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD. If you can’t wait another week for the disc, or have gone entirely digital, here’s a breakdown of the where to buy Black Panther, what formats are available, and what bonus content is available.
Availability
Popular services where you can buy Black Panther in digital formats include Amazon Video, Apple iTunes, Google Play, FandangoNow, Microsoft Video, Verizon FiOS On Demand, and Vudu. For those of you with Ultra HD TVs, the film is available in Digital UHD (4k) from FandangoNow, Microsoft Video and Vudu. Disney has held off on offering the SD version of Black Panther until the release of physical media on Tuesday, May 15.
Bonus Material
There is quite a bit of bonus content with the digital release of Black Panther including production featurettes, deleted scenes, gag reel, a 20-minute round-table discussion, and “Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years – Connecting the Universe” among other extras. Check with each service before buying to ensure they have the bonus feature you want. See below for a more detailed list.
4k UHD
FandangoNow, Microsoft Video and Vudu are the only services currently offering Black Panther in Digital UHD (4k). Vudu’s specifications include HDR (Dolby Vision/HDR10) that extends the color range on supporting devices (see 4k/HDR supporting devices on Vudu) as well as Dolby Atmos audio. Unfortunately Apple iTunes doesn’t sell Black Panther in 4k, however, there is a work around through the updated Vudu app for Apple TV 4k.
Price
Black Panther sells for $19.99 (HD) and $24.99 – $29.99 (4k UHD) from most services. The SD version, releasing May 15, can be pre-ordered for $14.99. If you’re looking to buy the 4k version, only FandangoNow, Microsoft and Vudu have it in Digital UHD. See below for more details on pricing.

Hi Matt we were unable to find Black Panther in UHD on Amazon — neither through the website or Smart TV app for a Samsung 4k/HDR TV. Can you send a pic of that option to our Twitter account? @hdreport ? We would greatly appreciate.
Will Black Panther ever be available in UHD on other platforms? I really like Google Play Movies, and I don’t want to have my movie collection fractured across multiple accounts.
Looks like Amazon has it in UHD. Pretty sure it is their first ever.
I can’t see UHD as an option on Amazon, either. How did you find it?
