The release dates for Twentieth Century Fox’s The Post have officially been announced. The Oscar-nominated film will first be available in digital formats on Tuesday, April 3rd followed by 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD on Tuesday, April 17th.
On 4k Blu-ray The Post is presented in 2.40:1 widescreen (16:9) aspect ratio at 2160p with High Dynamic Range (HDR) color on TVs that support it. The English soundtrack is provided in DTS-HD-MA 7.1 audio, as well as Dolby Digital 5.1͕ in English, Spanish and French. Subtitles are provided in English SDH, French, and Spanish.
Will there be extras, you ask? Yes. The home media release will include up to 90 minutes of additional bonus content that depict the real life events behind the story and the journey to bring it to the big screen. On disc and through select digital services The Post includes The Style Section: Re-Creating an Era, Stop the Presses: Filming The Post and Arts and Entertainment: Music for The Post. The Blu-rays feature two additional exclusive bonus features: Editorial: The Cast and Characters of The Post and Layout: Katharine Graham, Ben Bradlee & The Washington Post.
