It’s Thanksgiving week and after all the turkey and football games what better to do than relax and watch a new movie? This week we highlight three new releases, all of which happen to be from Lionsgate, that you might consider picking up on Blu-ray for the upcoming long weekend.
The fantasy adventure Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is now available in both Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray editions, each with bonus features such as a 5-part documentary, featurette “Enhancement Pods,” and “Art of Valerian” photo gallery. The Blu-ray combo editions also include either a DVD or Blu-ray, along with a Digital Copy of the film. Rated PG-13.
The Hitman’s Bodyguard is an action comedy starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Gary Oldman. The film is now available on both Blu-ray and 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray in combo editions that include either a DVD or Blu-ray copy, along with a Digital Copy. There’s also plenty of bonus material such as out-takes, deleted, extended, and alternate scenes, audio commentary and featurettes. Rated R.
Another Lionsgate release is the animated film Leap! also known as “Ballerina” that features voiceover acting from Elle Fanning, Dane DeHaan and Kate McKinnon. The Blu-ray combo edition includes both a DVD and Digital HD copy, along with a featurette “In the Recording Booth with Kate McKinnon, Nat Wolff, and Maddie Ziegler” and behind-the-scenes video gallery. Rated PG.
