This week’s new Blu-ray releases are highlighted by two Disney films: Pete’s Dragon and The BFG. Pete’s Dragon, starring Bryce Dallas Howard and Robert Redford, is available in a 2-disc combo edition with Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD copy through iTunes. The BFG, directed by Steven Spielberg, is also available in a 2-disc combo with Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD copy.
Other notable Blu-ray releases include: Soundbreaking, an 8-part series executive produced by Beatles producer George Martin featuring interviews with legendary musicians and rare archival studio footage; Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie starring Gwendoline Christie and Jennifer Saunders; and, the animated adventure The Wild Life from Lionsgate and director Vincent Kesteloot.
