VUDU Offers 4k UHD Copy of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ With VIZIO TV Purchase

Vudu is offering a copy of Mad Max: Fury Road in 4k UHD format with the purchase of a select VIZIO Reference Series Ultra HD TV. It isn’t much, but UHD movies on Vudu are $30 a pop so customers may as well take advantage of the promotion. Mad Max: Fury Road in UHD also comes with HDR-specified video via Dolby Vision, and immersive audio with Dolby Atmos. Both formats require TVs and audio systems that support them, otherwise the HDR spec will be ignored and Dolby Atmos will simply downsample to the nearest audio format. The VIZIO Reference Series Ultra HD Full-Array Smart TVs are available in 120″ and 65″ classes, priced at $129,999 and $5,999, respectively. Vudu currently has over 30 titles mastered in 4k resolution, and all of them feature HDR with Dolby Vision. Most titles, but not all, are formatted with Dolby Atmos.
