It’s not enough that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be available in several common editions including an Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and Standard Definition 2-Disc DVD, DOJ will also be available in several exclusive editions from retailers when the film hits stores on July 19th.
And, each release ofBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will come with the original theatrical version of the film and a new Ultimate Edition that has been Rated R for violence.
The extended cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice includes 30 more minutes of story and action not seen in theaters, and each disc release comes with over 2 hours of bonus content consisting of 11 featurettes (see a detailed list here).
The Blu-ray editions also include a Digital HD copy of the film that can be redeemed with UltraViolet partners. The digital extra, unfortunately, doesn’t include an iTunes copy.
Batman v Superman: DOJ Amazon Exclusive
Amazon is already taking pre-orders on an exclusive edition of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. What’s most striking about this edition is the inclusion of a large Batman figurine (that from the picture looks larger than the Blu-ray box itself). The edition includes the Ultimate Edition on Blu-ray, theatrical version on Blu-ray and DVD, and a digital copy of the theatrical version from UltraViolet. Note that Amazon purposely spells this exclusive with the acronym “DOJ.”

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Target Exclusive
Target is also taking pre-orders on an exclusive edition of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The edition includes special lenticular Batman/Superman packaging and a 64-page book with images from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: The Art of the Film.” The 3-disc combo includes the Ultimate Edition on Blu-ray, theatrical version on Blu-ray and DVD, and digital copy via UltraViolet.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice SteelBook Best Buy Exclusive
Best Buy will have their own @BestBuy exclusive edition of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in the Ultimate Edition that will have special reversible SteelBook packaging (so you can put your favorite DC character on the front). It appears Best Buy will sell two versions of the same edition — one with Batman on the cover and other with Superman. The 3-Disc combo will include both versions of the film on Blu-ray plus a DVD and Digital HD copy with UltraViolet.
