Warner Bros.’ latest blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is already available to pre-order on Ultra HD Blu-ray (4k), Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and DVD. The film, just released to theaters in the US on March 16th, stars Ben Afflect (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman).
It appears the film will release to several different ‘Ultimate Editions’ including a 2-disc Blu-ray combo (Blu-ray & DVD), 3-disc 3D Blu-ray combo (3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD), and 2-Disc Ultra HD Blu-ray edition (Ultra HD Blu-ray & Blu-ray).
Pre-orders of the Blu-ray combo is priced at $24.95 (List: $34.99), 3D Blu-ray combo $29.95 (List: $44.95), and Ultra HD Blu-ray $29.99 (List: $44.95). The DVD is priced at $17.95 (List: $29.99). Here are more details.
If Warner Bros.’ previous Ultra HD Blu-ray releases are any indication of disc specifications, the 4k release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice should support High Dynamic Range (HDR) content and Dolby Atmos audio. [Update: The Ultra HD Blu-ray edition does feature HDR.]
