Want to test out your new 4k Ultra HD TV? The 4k movie app UltraFlix has officially announced availability on all Hisense and Sharp Smart 4k UHD TVs. The app offers over 700 4k titles to rent starting at $1.99 up to $9.99, or to purchase ranging from $9.99 to $24.99. They’ve also got approximately 100 hours of free content to view.
UltraFlix’s library of 4k movies consists of titles from major studios such as MGM, Millennium, Magnolia, Paramount, and Warner Bros. Some titles shot in native 4k, while others were upscaled using a 4k film scanning process from Nanotech’s 4K Studios.
Other content includes documentaries made for IMAX, television series from A&E Networks, and events and shorts from independent producers worldwide.
“We are pleased to be able to enhance the customer experience by making the world’s largest library of 4K UHD content available to Hisense and Sharp TV owners via UltraFlix,” said Mark Viken, VP of Marketing at Hisense.
UltraFlix recently launched for NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV streaming media players, but may have received the most exposure with the launch of their app for Roku 4k players last December.
