Director Joss Whedon’s superhero/action film Avengers: Age of Ultron will release to home media formats this fall — first available in Digital HD on Tuesday, September 8th. The Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray Disc, and DVD editions of the film are scheduled to release about three weeks later on October 2nd (which happens to be Friday — an uncommon day for most new titles).
The 1-disc (Blu-ray) and 2-disc (Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray) editions from Marvel Studios/Walt Disney Home Entertainment will also include Digital HD copies of the film from Apple iTunes, and, apparently Google Play — also uncommon for Blu-ray editions with digital copies.
Bonus features will include audio commentary, deleted scenes, making-of featurettes, and a gag reel. In total, Avengers: Age of Ultron will include over 45 minutes of exclusive content.
Avengers: Age of Ultron on Blu-ray is presented in 1080p at 2.40:1 widescreen aspect ratio with English DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound.
The 2-disc Blu-ray 3D edition carries an MSRP of $39.99, while the 1-disc Blu-ray edition is list-priced at $32.99.
Avengers: Age of Ultron bonus features:
- Audio Commentary
- Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes
