Sony Picture’s Oscar-winning film Still Alice releases this week to Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and On Demand. The 1-disc Blu-ray edition includes exclusives such as three deleted scenes, interview with composer Ilan Eshkeri, featurette “Directing Alice,” and special feature “Finding Alice.” The Blu-ray Disc sells for about $19.99 (MSRP $34.99). Still Alice was previously released to Digital HD, but is now available to redeem with UltraViolet through the Blu-ray purchase. The film stars Julianne Moore (Best Performance Leading Actress), Alec Baldwin, and Kristen Stewart.
Blackhat
Michael Mann’s action/drama Blackhat starring Chris Hemsworth is available this week on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and On Demand. The 2-Disc combo edition from Universal Studios includes a BD, DVD, and Digital HD copy via UltraViolet or iTunes. Blu-ray exclusives on the combo include bonus featurettes “The Cyber Threat” and “On Location Around the World,” as well as the additional feature “Creating Reality” (also available on DVD). The lowest price we found for Blackhat on Blu-ray is $16.99 (MSRP $29.99).
Battlestar Galactica: The Definitive Collection
If you’re a Battlestar Galactica fan take note of the 18-Disc edition releasing this week by Universal Studios. The ‘Definitive Collection’ features the original 1978 television series in 4:3 and widescreen format for the first time – both in high definition on two Blu-ray Discs. The 1978 film Battlestar Galactica is also included in the collection, celebrating its 35th anniversary since its television debut on ABC. And, Galactica 1980: The Complete Series is also included on two Blu-ray Discs. The collection offers over 4 hours of bonus features including over 3 hours of deleted scenes from Battlestar Galactica: The Original Series.
