For the longest time Apple TV was priced flat out at $99. But that all changed at Apple’s Monday, March 9th “Spring Forward” event during which CEO Tim Cook announced the price of the streaming media player would drop to $69. Now Roku and Amazon have something to think about, as their flagship models: the Roku 3 and Fire TV, respectively; are priced higher at $99. Apple also revealed a partnership with HBO to bring the over-the-top HBO NOW service inline with the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 5. But the main focus of the event, of course, was the soon-to-be-released Apple Watch.
