An update to the Netflix app for Android devices now includes the Social Recommendations feature that allows users to easily share and recommend shows and movies. The update also watch, get more info, or thank your friend for a recommendation. The update also utilizes Android’s rich notification abilities that adds images and action buttons to watch, get info, or thank friends for recommendations.
In addition, Android Wear integration has been updated to alert Android watch users when new recommendations arrive, as well as watch, play, and get info about a specific title.
Social recommendations previously launched for Netflix’s browser-based service, iPad, iPhone, PS3, Xbox, Smart TVs and set-top boxes.
