Syfy greenlights sci-fi series based on ‘Legion’ film

If you were a fan of the 2010 film Legion starring Paul Bettany and Dennis Quaid you might look forward to a new upcoming drama series from Syfy. The series, with working title Dominion, will be based on characters from the film. The series will be directed by Scott Stewart (Visual Effects, Sin City) and star Christopher Egan (Resident Evil: Extinction) and Roxanne McKee (Game of Thrones Season 2). Syfy calls Dominion “an epic supernatural drama set in the year 25 A.E.,” where an army of angels lead by the archangel Gabriel (played by Carl Beukes) has waged war against humans. The new series is slated to air on Syfy sometime in 2014.

According to Syfy president Dave Howe, “Dominion will continue Syfy’s new strategy to commission stand-out genre series that deliver the high stakes, sci-fi/fantasy experience our audience demands and embraces.”
