If you’re wondering what happened to Fox Soccer Channel, the channel has been replaced by Fox’s FXX network. FXX is a sister network to FX and FX Movie Channel and aimed towards a male audience of 18-34 year-olds. The official launch of the channel is today, September 1, 2013, and instead of soccer matches will broadcast shows such as Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, How I Met Your Mother, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks and Recreation, and The League.
Soccer matches can still be found on other 20th Century Fox-owed networks including Fox Soccer Plus, and the newly launched Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 networks. Fox will no longer be broadcasting matches from the English Premiere league, however, as FOX lost the distribution rights to NBC.
FXX can be found on DirecTV 619 (HD/SD) (moving to 259 on November 13, 2013), Dish Network 390 (HD/SD), Verizon FiOS 584 (HD) / 84 (SD), AT&T U-verse 128 (SD) / 1128 (HD), and many cable TV providers nationwide (check your local listings).
