Time Warner Cable has updated the TWC TV app for Android to allow On Demand access and viewing away from home. The improved app offers over 4,000 On Demand titles in-home, as well as out-of-home access to live TV and over 1,100 On Demand titles. When viewing away from home, however, you’ll need a Wi-Fi connection. The app also added improvements to the TV mini guide such as filtering or sorting by genre, title, network, and recently watched channels. If you’re using an older Android device with version 2.2, the updated app will now let you watch live TV and On Demand content. Time Warner says TWC TV currently supports video playback on 98% of Android devices running version 2.2 or higher.
TWC’s latest version of the TWC TV app for Apple iOS devices was released on May 2, 2013.
