History’s 10-hour mini-series The Bible: The Epic Miniseries is now available on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. The Blu-ray set from 20th Century Fox contains 4 discs in total with over 550 minutes of content. Along with the episodes, The Bible also contains plenty of special features such as “The Bible: Genesis,” “The Cast of The Bible,” “Scoring The Bible,” “Believing in Miracles,” and “The Bible: Visual Effects.” There’s also a three-part production featurette titled “The Bible: Creation” containing Creation I, II, and III. Video resolution of The Bible on Blu-ray is 1080p HD at 1.78:1 widescreen aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. The Bible on Blu-ray Disc carries an MSRP of $69.99, while the DVD’s retail price is $59.99. Amazon, Best Buy, and Target currently have the boxed set priced at $34.99 on Blu-ray, and $29.99 on DVD.
The Bible was produced by Mark Burnett (The Voice, Survivor) and Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel). Episodes were directed by Crispin Reece, Tony Mitchell, and Christopher Spencer.
