Since Netflix doesn’t play by the Nielsen ratings rules that traditional TV broadcasters do, it’s often tough to tell how well any one program or movie is faring. But a new survey indicates the big gamble on the original series House of Cards is paying off. 86% of subscribers say that the Kevin Spacey-led political drama makes them less likely to cancel, while the poll also shows the average person who tuned in watched six episodes from February 12-13, with 19.4% watching all 13 episodes. 36% called the series “exceptional” while 43% said it was “good.” The survey was conducted by investment firm Cowen and Co. and it featured questions to 1,229 U.S. consumers, 346 of whom were Netflix subscribers, with another 223 classified as non-subscribers who have access to Netflix.
