Nintendo has announced the MSRP of the new Wii gaming console is dropping from $149 to $129 effectively immediately. The new black Wii console will replace the Super Mario Bros. Wii with a single disc that includes Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. The new $129 Wii also comes with the Wii Remote Plus and one Nunchuk controller. The price drop comes in advance of the release of the Wii U, the successor to the six-year-old Wii which hits stores on Nov. 18 and will sell for $299. The Wii U includes the Wii U GamePad and Nintendo TVii which will allows owners to stream video from services such as Netflix and Hulu. The Wii U will also support video resolution up to 1080p.
