LG and Disney team up for 3D offer via Smart TVs

Parents, Disney fans, and those in the market for a new TV, this one’s for you. LG and Disney are teaming up to offer streaming 3D content through LG’s  Smart TV platform, and if you buy a select new model through December 31, you’ll receive a $50 redeemable coupon that’ll you can put towards watching 3D flicks like The Avengers, Toy Story, and Alice in Wonderland. The 3D World LG Smart TV application already features multiple titles from Disney. By spring 2013, additional titles will be made available, including Finding Nemo, Bolt, Gnomeo & Juliet, Tangled, and Tron: Legacy. LG’s 3D World contains 2-day rental movies and also more than 300 free 3D videos. Prices for rentals range between $4 and $8 dollars. The app is available via all LG Smart TVs.
