Amazon’s CEO & Founder Jeff Bezos announced the Kindle Fire has sold out. Released less than a year ago, the Fire added color and a glossy screen to the Kindle lineup, making it competitive in the growing tablet market. And, priced at $199, the Fire was an affordable alternative to the Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy, and other higher priced tablets. As a result, Bezos says the Kindle Fire grabbed 22% of tablet sales in the U.S. during the 9 months available. Will there be a Kindle Fire 2? Bezos made nothing official but hinted to an “exciting roadmap ahead.”
