Will The Avengers still be #1 at the box office come fall? Perhaps not, but we have a hunch it’ll instantly dominate home video sales when the Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, and DVD versions of the film are released on September 25. Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is expected to be $39.99, with the Blu-ray 3D set at $49.99. The exact details on the Disney release aren’t official, but the extras will reportedly include audio commentary by director Joss Whedon; Disney’s Second Screen; Assembling the Ultimate Team; A Visual Journey; Gag Reel; Item 47 (Marvel One-Shot Short Film); 9 Deleted/Extended Scenes; and Soundgarden’s Live to Rise music video.
