Xbox 360 to stream Fox television programs

Ever wanted to watch live TV through your Xbox? Your dreams, (and Microsoft’s as well), might be coming true as the company has signed an agreement with News Corp. to stream programming through the gaming console. For Xbox Live members, that means content from Fox Broadcasting, Fox News, IGN Entertainment and The Wall Street Journal will be available to stream to your TV set. However, whether or not any of the programming would be live still isn’t clear. Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer announced news of the deal at CES 2012 and was vague on the matter, but could you imagine watching news the next day? The Fox programming will be available to Xbox Live members who have valid subscriptions to the channels with service providers. The news falls on the heels of recent rumors that Microsoft wants to add a DVR feature to the Xbox 360.
