Sony will release a software update for PlayStation 3 (v4.00) that makes the console a content manager, allowing the copying and backup of files from PS Vita to the PS3 hard-drive, as well as updating the PS Vita system software via the console’s network connection. The software update (v4.00) will also include game patches, system software, recommended games and videos, synching of trophy information (nice!) and PSN settings for friends and messages. The update also includes the ability of users to choose to enable or disable each automatic update feature. More details on version 4.00 will be available on the PS3 software update page when it releases this week.
