Perhaps the most anticipated Blu-ray Disc this week is the release of the Jurassic Park trilogy on Blu-ray Disc. The films (spanning from 1993 – 2001) have been digitally restored and remastered to high-definition 1080p. The audio (with soundtrack from John Williams) is presented in impressive 7.1 channel surround sound. Universal has put together two editions which include the Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy and Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy Gift Set — both of which come with 3-discs and digital copies of the films (expiring 12/31/2012).
