It’s a great week for Blu-ray Disc with a variety of recent films, remastered classics, and TV series in the mix. X-Men: First Class is probably the biggest “blockbuster” getting released on Blu-ray Disc this week. Starring James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, X-Men: First Class reveals the origins of Magneto and Professor X.
Straw Dogs (1971) starring Dustin Hoffman is a psychological thriller directed by Sam Peckinpah that was controversial for an extended rape scene that was originally edited for U.S. theaters. Scarface (1983) is a classic film (also known for its violence) that was written by Oliver Stone, directed by Brian De Palma, and stars Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer. And finally, from one of the longest cartoon franchises of all time, Scooby Doo: Legend of the Phantosaur gets released on Blu-ray Disc. Your kids will love you for this BD which also includes a DVD and digital copy.
