Yankees and Nets fans won’t miss a beat, thanks to a multiyear deal between YES and DirecTV that was signed last night. The financial terms have not been disclosed as of yet, but DirecTV was hoping to pay as much as other service providers carrying YES.
The distribution agreement follows after an extension was granted last week, when the previous contract ended at midnight on April 2. Luckily, New York Yankees and New Jersey Nets fans were never denied any games throughout the negotiations.
YES is available locally in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and parts of Pennsylvania and nationally on DirecTV. AT&T U-verse and Verizon FiOS also carry YES in certain regions.
The channel broadcasts in both 480i (SDTV) and 1080i (HDTV).
