Amazon UK drops price of PS3 160GB

Amazon UK has drastically reduced the price of the PlayStation 3 160GB model. The PS3 slim which normally sells for £255.30 ($349 US) is now listed at £196.00 ($267 US), a price drop of £59 Euros. The PS3 160GB slim was first available in the UK on October 15, 2010, and in the US on Aug. 17, 2010. No doubt the price deduction may move a few more PlayStations in Europe, as well as sell a few more Blu-ray Discs. Sony reports 47.9 million PlayStation 3 units sold worldwide as of the end of December 2010.
