Charter signs deal with TiVo

Charter Communications and TiVo have signed a multi-year agreement to provide the TiVo Premiere set-top box for subscribers. The Premiere will hold 45 hours of high-definition content (or 400 hours standard-definition) supporting 1080p and 1080i HD formats.

“We’re integrating formerly disparate worlds of traditional television and online content, and making it simple for customers to quickly find the content they’re looking for,” said Mike Lovett, Charter’s President and CEO.

Charter said they also plan on launching more internet connectivity including access to Facebook and Twitter, as well as an iPad app which can act as a remote control. Multi-room DVR access and TiVoToGo are scheduled to launch as well.

Roll out of the TiVo set-top box will happen later this year.

I stream Netflix pull up YouTube videos and listen to Pandora’s Radio when ever I want and still watch TV. If you would like more information about this go to DISH Networks website.
