Dreamwork’s final Shrek adventure Shrek Forever After is headed for Blu-ray Disc this coming Dec. 7, along with a four-disc box set of all four Shrek films titled Shrek: The Whole Story. A highlight for audiophiles, both Shrek releases on Blu-ray Disc come with 7.1 Dolby TrueHD audio, taking full advantage of the capabilities of the hi-def BD format.
Shrek Forever After will hit the shelves in two forms: a single-disc Blu-ray and Blu-ray/DVD Combo. Both will contain extras such as “Secrets of Shrek Forever After,” deleted scenes, and filmmakers’ commentary. Both versions will also contain Blu-ray exclusives “The Animators’ Corner” and “Shrek’s Interactive Journey: IV.”
The boxed set Shrek: The Whole Story contains plenty of extras, deleted scenes, commentaries, Blu-ray exclusives, and a brand new free holiday program called Donkey’s Christmas Shrektacular. In total, Shrek: The Whole Story contains 13 hours of content.
